Lifting heavy shit looks different for everyone, especially the everyday normal person with limited time or equipment, and others to look after.

The ‘ideal’ program is all about going as heavy as you can, focusing on certain things on different days. Workout splits work for certain people, with particular goals in mind, and IMO it is BORING AF and I would rather stab needles in my eye than head to the gym with a boring program, but my goals are not body building, or power lifting, or being snatched, they are about coordination, working on the niggles and keeping me mobile, getting stronger, and active, and its working.

Everyone has their reasons for the way they like to work out, a reason we in the ADHD community get bored with programs, gyms, coaching techniques, or its not interesting.

Our ADHD (diagnosed or not) folks will thrive in a community environment, where they can socialise, find novelty or connections as most of the time it's not so much the exercises, it's the people.

We know that combo work will not build muscle as fast as the ‘ideal’ split programs, it still builds strength, stability, coordination, resilience, and day to day your body does not do things in isolation, it moves dynamically. Just look at those that successfully do circuits or crossfit style classes.

So gym bro’s there’s more to life than Back, Chest, Shoulders and Arms…….an extra leg day wouldn’t kill you, you need your legs to be strong to hold up those egos and it will stop you looking like a 🔻
