Ana Mcilroy - Yoga Teacher

IMG_20250828_160041_158.jpg

HI! I am Ana, I am based in Taupo, a mother of 2 active kids, and I have been a massage therapist for the past 11 years and now a Certified Yoga Teacher, I am a huge advocate to the power of movement and what it does for our body and our mental health! A firm believer in Movement is Medicine. Bit of a life motto!

For the past six years I have studied and practiced Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative, Ashtanga and am on my own Kundalini journey. The world of Yoga is so extremely vast I do not believe I will ever be done learning nor do I want to only follow one style.

I offer Rebel Yoga. It is not one specific style, calisthenic movements thrown in for more strength work. It's not perfect, it is about the feeling not the look. Paying attention to your body! Performing what works for your body! Breathing! Take control and find your own style. Yoga is about awakening YOUR true self.

I also love to run, mountain bike and swim, has completed an Ironman. With the 42k Legend of the Peaks on my events list this year and the Off Road Xtrerra Tri next year.

Ana runs Rebel Yoga classes live at 6am, Wednesdays, otherwise catch her in the library on demand.

Chelsea Rowlands - Certified Health Coach

Women's wellbeing is my passion

I'm a firm believer that women are at the heart of our communities.

If we have the time, space and support to take care of ourselves, we can absolutely take care of the rest. Women are nurturers by nature but regularly we put our own nurturing on the back burner.

As women in our 30's, 40's and beyond, we know our bodies have changed immeasurably. Our sleep practices, nutrition and exercise all need an update to match.

Our headspace is also in a constant state of flux as we juggle the complexities of outer life along with the chaos of internal changes (mentally, physically and emotionally).

Most of us have no idea where to start in supporting this evolving version of ourselves – and that’s where I can help.

I became a health coach after reaching my own point of burn out, struggling to juggle the various roles and demands of my career, motherhood to two babies, and the rest. Through the journey of establishing the next iteration of myself, I discovered tools and strategies that allowed me to not only regain balance, but also thrive. With my previous career as an Organisational Psychology practitioner, I remain passionate about people, how they tick and how to help them bring forth their best self - my focus has now expanded into physical health too which feels like a perfect string added to my bow.

I’m particularly passionate about helping women navigate their own wellness journey with confidence and support, empowering them to prioritize their health and wellbeing without having to figure it all out alone.

Chelsea holds a monthly discussion's on topics relating to health and wellbeing.
